Wishing you all a safe and happy festive season. — We opened Portland in January 2015 and gained a Michelin star later that year which we are very proud to have retained ever since. We try to offer the best contemporary example of fine dining in London – this doesn’t mean cloches and tablecloths (we don’t own a single one of either!) but the finest produce we can find cooked with precision and a high level of technique. Our team is led by Executive Chef Chris Bassett who has been with us for several years and his team in the kitchen is led by our Head Chef Angelica Hope. Wine has always been central to what we do – Lucie Hammerschmiedova, our head of beverage, is always on the hunt for new brilliant wines to put on our monthly-changing wine list and is just as excited by a superb-value house red as she is by a Grand Cru Burgundy. On the floor our team is led by our Front of House director Gabor Papp who is always keen to hear about anything he can do to make your visit that bit special – if it’s a birthday, anniversary or you just want to have a negroni waiting for you when you get here, please let us know. Menus We offer an A La Carte Menu and a Tasting Menu. A La Carte Our A La Carte menu is £59 for 3 courses at lunch and £95 for 3 courses at dinner. Tasting Menu Our Tasting Menu comprises welcome snacks from the kitchen, four savoury courses, dessert and petits fours. We can accommodate any dietary requirements on the tasting menu but it would be wonderful (though not essential) to be aware in advance where possible. The Tasting Menu is for the whole table and is priced at £110 – there is no need to let us know in advance if you would like to opt for it. We also offer a wine pairing at £85. Please see sample menus below – we offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and dairy free alternatives on both the A La Carte and the Tasting Menu Portland at 10 Feasting Menu – January 2025 To celebrate the 10th anniversary of our first service in January 2015, this month we are offering a special tasting menu at £55. Leaning on classic dishes from our first decade and centred around our iconic Beef Wellington, this offers a chance to experience Portland’s tasting menu at a very special price. Please note, for this specific menu only, we cannot cater to dietary requirements. Bookings We are open from Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner. Private Room Our private dining room seats 7 to 12 guests and aims to replicate the experience of our dining room in terms of offer and service albeit in a separate and secluded space. As in our main dining room, we offer an a la carte menu. It begins with welcome snacks sent from the kitchen while you enjoy a drink or wait for the last few guests to arrive, followed by a choice of first course, main course and dessert from our a la carte menu. The menu is £69 at lunch and £105 at dinner for 3 courses and welcome snacks. Please click below for a sample menu and to book the room. Wine Wine is as important as food and service at Portland. Our wine list aims to offer brilliant value on interesting, different wines which we hope you seldom see on restaurant wine lists. The list contains some of the world’s finest wines and also more accessible offerings from our favourite producers. We aim to be keenly priced at the high-end and seek out rarities and odd bottles which are sometimes no longer available anywhere else. Our list is constantly evolving and we tend to hold only small allocations of most bins. Should you wish to put something aside for an upcoming visit, we would be more than happy to reserve a bottle for you. WINE LIST
